Saratoga Selections By Frank Lyons: Sunday, August 13, 2017

The Green Sheet has expanded its handicapping coverage this summer, as Frank Lyons–Breeder’s Cup winning trainer and former on-air personality with Television Games Network (TVG)–has signed on to give his selections for the 2017 meet at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York.

In addition to a multi-year stint as a host and racing analyst on TVG, Lyons saddled 1995 Breeder’s Cup Sprint (G1) winner Desert Stormer. He also bought and campaigned Santa Anita Derby (G1) winner Castledale. He’s currently a bloodstock agent and the host of a weekly radio show in Lexington, Kentucky.

The Sunday, August 13 program at Saratoga has 10 races on the docket including the featured $200,000 Saratoga Special Stakes Presented by Coors Light (G2) for two-year-olds going six and a half-furlongs on the main track.

Frank gave out a pair of winners on Saturday’s 11-race program at Saratoga including Slim Shadey (GB), who won the fifth on the card and returned a healthy $20.60. He completed the day with a positive 33 percent return on investment (ROI*), or a flat-bet profit of 67 cents for each $2 wagered on his top selections.

Frank will be giving out his picks FREE of charge for the duration of Saratoga’s 2017 summer meet. Click HERE to see who he likes on Sunday!

*Return on investment is calculated by placing a hypothetical $2 win wager on all top selections and dividing the net profit by the total amount wagered.
