Carl R. Moore Management LLC’s Finley’sluckycharm will attempt to keep her unblemished lifetime record at Churchill Downs in good stead when the daughter of Twirling Candy goes off as the prohibitive favorite in Saturday’s 28th running of the $100,000 Chicago Handicap (G3), the featured ninth race on the 11-race Saturday program in Louisville.
The dark bay or brown four-year-old filly will face 11 other rivals in the seven-furlong test including a handful of fillies that she has comfortably defeated in her past two starts under the Twin Spires–the Winning Colors Stakes (G3) on May 27 and the Roxelana Stakes on April 29, respectively.
The Green Sheet touted four winners on Friday’s nine-race card in Louisville, highlighted by Pure Praise’s ($10.80) gate-to-wire score in the fourth, and nailed down a a $141 trifecta in the second on the program. On the day, The Sheet had a positive 40 percent return on investment (ROI) or a flat-bet profit of 80 cents for each two dollars wagered.*
