Thursday’s 10-race program at Churchill is highlighted by the ninth race on the card, a $60,000 entry-level allowance affair for two-year-olds going a mile and a sixteenth on the Matt Winn turf course.
The race drew a well-matched field of 10 colts and geldings led by 7-2 morning line favorite Hey Mike, a bay son of Cape Blanco (Ire) who is multiple stakes-placed sprinting on the dirt and will be making his two-turn and turf debut in the day’s feature.
Thursday’s card also offers a $74,031 carryover in the Single Six Jackpot, which will be contested in races five through 10 on the program.
The Green Sheet had a pair of winners on Wednesday’s card — Underpressure ($9.40) in the sixth race and Mil Mil ($6.20) in the seventh. Additionally, The Sheet had a $157.80 trifecta in the fifth race and a healthy $450.20 trifecta in Wednesday’s finale.
Cumulatively, for the meet, The Sheet is 30-for-122 with winning selections on top, hitting at a 25 percent clip.
